Scarlet are a four piece, female led Grunge/Pop Alt/Rock band hailing from the Northwest of England.


Featured on a range of festival line ups around the world including - Kendal Calling, Zandari Festa in South Korea, Tbilisi Open Air Festival in Georgia, Sound City, Secret Garden Party and many more. 


The continuous evolution from dreamy alt rock to the power packing riff & melody monsters they are today, has always lived up to the flowing catalogue of inspiring reviews from Q Magazine, GetInToThis, The Skinny and many more and gained them consistent radio plays across a wide range of stations from BBC Radio 6 to XS Manchester.

This exposure has gone hand in hand with the direct endorsements received from the likes of Orange Amplifiers, PMT House of Rock and artists such as Guy Garvey (Elbow), The Vaccines & Sir Bob Geldof.  


Scarlet are proud ambassadors for Orange amplifiers.


The band featured by Alt Press in their ’20 rising U.K. bands about to take over the scene’ article, alongside The Amazons, Honeyblood and Milk Teeth.

Scarlet were one of 16 bands that played for Dr Martens as part of their ‘Play Different’ run of shows.


The last two tours saw a majority of sell out shows, selling out venues in Nottingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, and Liverpool, with expectations that the next tour will see even more growth.

In 2019, Scarlet traveled to South Koreas Zandari festa in Seoul. As a result of their packed performance, they secured a distribution deal with Sound Republica for South Korean territory. 

Scarlet played to over 20,000 people at Tbisili Open Air festival in Georgia along side Steve Vai, followed up by a sold out Rough Trade Records gig


The band successfully released their debut crowd funded album ‘Effigy’ in Japan through Vinyl Junkie Records, which went on to have a featured listening post and be sold in HMV. The album was also sold in Japans Tower Records.

In the recent past, the band secured support slots for 80s mega group ’T’pau’ at Norwich Water Front, London’s Islington Assembly Hall, Brighton’s Concorde 2 and Shrewsbury’s Butter Market.


 Scarlet have previously worked with producers Jon Withnall, (Coldplay’s Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, and X&Y) Michael Johnson (Joy Division, Pink Floyd, New Order, Stone Roses) and Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon, CAST) 

Scarlet have supported Hands Off Gretel, The Amazons, The Blinders,  Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats, Neon Waltz, Pulled Apart By Horses, Swervedriver, Black Honey, Wolf Alice, Kagoule, The Struts, Tpau and many more


Scarlet secured slots playing for Dr Martens, DIY’s ‘breaking out’ night at Liverpool music week festival, and played the huge festivals, Kendal Calling, Cotton Clouds, Secret Garden Party, Tramlines, Sound City, Hop Farm Festival, amongst many others.

The band have been featured in magazines such as Qmagazine, Alternative Press and The Skinny .

Scarlet secured ongoing support from Marshall Amplifiers who chose their demo 'Heavy' to be a part of their Richer Unsigned 'Best unsigned bands' playlist, which meant the song was played in every Richer Sounds music store up and down the country for a month and featured in Q Magazine!

Released in lockdown and dedicated to the NHS, the frontline heroes and everyone feeling alone in isolation during the Covid19 pandemic to spread a message of hope and positivity received 15K+ plays on Spotify alone since April 2020

Support flooded in from some amazing companies/people/bands that wanted to show solidarity with Scarlet for the NHS, music fans and lovers in the form of Cameos and DIY promotion for the ‘Friends’ music video from from Carol Decker (T’Pau), Scarlett Coates, Martyn Ware (Heaven17), Kycker Music, Orange Amplifiers, Midnight Mango, Hands Off Gretel, Salvation Jayne, Gen And The Degenerates, Tiger Mimic, Occoeur, Halocline, Atlanta House, Novustory, Follow The Hawk, Motel Carnation, Haig, UC Crew St Helens and more.

Tracks 'Friends', ‘Bones’, ‘Your Control’ and ’Anyway’, have been played on radio stations such as BBC introducing, BBC Radio 6, XS Manchester, Amazing Radio, Radio 2 and more regional stations 

Scarlet are currently in the studio writing & recording their latest run of singles, whilst also preparing for their 2021 tour dates around the UK
